Whether they are selling computers, underwear or spacecraft, entrepreneurs all share certain characteristics which make them successful, and sometimes controversial, figures.

 

1. Passionate 

Passion in business goes hand in hand with profitability to be a successful entrepreneur. They have laser-like focus on turning their idea into a profitable business.

2. Innovative

Successful entrepreneurs truly believe the riches are in the niches – the opportunities that either no one has thought about or no one has had the gumption to turn into reality.

3. Believe in Themselves 

Even when no one else believes in them, entrepreneurs have incredible confidence in themselves. They overcome doubts and fears, if they ever had them in the first place.

Relationships are everything to successful entrepreneurs. Meeting people enables them to flourish on several levels from new business opportunities to people with the skills or resources to help grow their businesses.

Entrepreneurs aren’t afraid of taking risks. Despite the fact that 20% of startups fail in the first year, successful entrepreneurs are OK with taking a certain amount of risk in order to reap the rewards that may bring.

It’s their inquisitive nature that sets successful entrepreneurs apart from mere mortals. Whether it’s the latest trend or seeing how people are doing things differently on the other side of the world, entrepreneurs are onto it first.

Tenacity is in a successful entrepreneur’s DNA. They don’t give up, but continue with their singular vision, taking others with them on their journey until their goals are reached.

Entrepreneurs are definitely glass half full people, seeing the positive in any situation. If they make a mistake they see it as an opportunity for learning and growth. They don’t dwell on the past but rather look forward to the future

Business stops for no one and entrepreneurs revel in new challenges. They’ll happily explore the latest bit of technology, new manufacturing processes or emerging markets if it means they keep moving forward.

10. Long Term Focus 

Being able to launch a business is hard enough but maintaining it is even trickier. Successful entrepreneurs have that much needed staying power to see things through in the long term.
