Last week, we were lucky enough to be the designated coworking space at D&AD Festival, a creative spectacular celebrating the world’s best design and advertising at The Old Truman Brewery, London.

Our pop-up coworking space was created to give festival goers a place to work whilst enjoying all the festival had to offer. To showcase LABS’ culture and offering, we held a series of talks and wellness events as a flavour of what it’s like to be a member of our community. And the best part? They were super well-attended, with our community members Perq Studio, Bear London and Power The Change sharing their expertise, as well as yoga, pilates and a mental health talk from Sanctus.

We were also able to experience the festival for ourselves, which was amazing. One of our highlights was attending Debbie Millman’s talk about her hugely popular podcast, Design Matters. This was so motivational, as it was an open discussion about her career journey from wanting to revitalise her career in her 40s by starting a podcast at her desk in her office, to having a fully produced, world-famous show.
