Americano launches at Victoria House

Americano has opened its all-day café and bar at Victoria House in Bloomsbury, bringing the Italian culture of aperitivo to London’s Knowledge Quarter.

Located in the impressive, hotel-style lobby of Victoria House, the café and bar, which is operated by London-based entrepreneur Eran Shachaf, is a contemporary twist on traditional Italian espresso bars.

The premium yet affordable offering has been designed to elevate the experience of working at Victoria House, whether you are based in one of the offices upstairs or working in the communal areas, having a meeting or greeting guests.

Open to the public, the café element will offer artisanal coffee and a refined, all-day Italian food menu, including breakfast, pastries, a mozzarella bar, light snacks and more.

And as daytime transitions to evening, the bar hosts its take on the Italian cultural ritual of aperitivo, serving sophisticated aperitif cocktails alongside a curated wine and beer list.

Americano at Victoria House was designed in collaboration with Yaara Gooner, Head of Architecture and Design at LABS, and follows LABS’ signature aesthetic, delivering a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere to LABS’s coworking spaces.

Owner and Entrepreneur Eran Shachaf, said: “The name ‘Americano’ references both the coffee drink and the cocktail of the same name and perfectly summarises the inspiration behind this new lifestyle concept. LABS prides itself on combining thoughtful workplace design with a wide range of amenities, particularly unique food & beverage offerings, and it has been a pleasure to partner with LABS to create a new premium experience that will enrich the lives of LABS members and the wider London community.”

“We are grateful to have the support of British hotelier and investor George Panayiotou, who we are working with to open new sites across the city over the next few years. We look forward to Americano’s growth and positioning as a leading destination in the London food and drink scene.”

LABS Vice President of Business Development Tom Mancherov, added: “Our partnership with Americano and Eran represents our commitment to establishing the very best lifestyle destinations in London through the creation of exceptional workplaces that offer premium amenities. Our ethos is to create dynamic live/work/stay propositions that enrich the lives of our members and the wider community. Americano at Victoria House is the first offering from this new partnership and we are aiming to expand upon this with the opening of Americano Hawley Wharf in December 2021.”

“Our ambition at LABS is to provide each individual building with one of the best F&B offerings on the market. In doing so, we will continue to be the market leader in the workplace industry with best-in-class amenities that fulfil the requirements of our members and the modern worker.”
