With the aim of freeing art from the classroom the proprietors behind The London Art Bar have delivered an interesting space to visit for a drink. You can pop in and muse over the creative surroundings with a cocktail or two or join one of the themed events where you can indulge your artistic side with glass of wine in one hand and a brush or pencil in the other.

Wine and dine at Noble Rot

If wine is your dink of choice, then this well-known French-inspired wine bar and restaurant in a townhouse on Bloomsbury’s Lamb’s Conduit Street is definitely not one to miss.

Noble Rot’s comprehensive wine list includes some harder to find bottles, while its Franglais bistro-style food menu is overseen by head chef Tom Upex and consultant chef Stephen Harris from Whitstable’s Michelin-starred The Sportsman.

Indulge your personality in Scarfes Bar

Named for the British artist and caricaturist Gerald Scarfe, whose work adorns its marble walls, this plush drawing room-inspired bar inside the grand façade of the Rosewood Hotel delivers a convivial atmosphere in which to enjoy its unique cocktail list.

Based on the Enneagram personality test the cocktail list consists of 18 drinks covering the nine types found on the distinctive Enneagram symbol, so you can make sure you pick the right drink to compliment your personality. There’s also a wide range of whiskey’s available and bar snacks to pick from.

For intimate surroundings head to WC Bloomsbury

Based in a 120-year-old Grade II listed former Victorian water closet, WC Bloomsbury is accessed via a flight of stairs on a traffic island on Lambs Conduit Street.

The subterranean space has been restored to deliver an escape from the world above retaining the original wood stalls to act as booths and some authentic porcelain pieces upholstered for additional seating, whilst as much of the original tiles and granite and marble floors have been preserved.
