Celebrating Black British Creativity: ‘From The Lens to The Runway’ at LABS House

Embracing and showcasing the vibrant tapestry of Camden’s cultural heartbeat, LABS House is excited to conclude its participation in Camden’s Black History Season. The event, ‘From The Lens to The Runway’, has been an incredible journey filled with art, talent, and celebrations of the Black British culture that we’re proud to be a part of.

Curated by the incredibly talented Emmanuel Sugo, this event has been an exploration of Black British creativity through the eyes of local artists, representing joy, freedom, and community. The series of installations have adorned Camden streets, immersing passersby in an evocative journey, celebrating the incredible achievements and contributions of Black people not just in Camden but across the UK.

The final event on October 28 at LABS House was nothing short of spectacular. The day brought together the essence of the Black British culture through captivating art and photographic exhibitions, live performances, stimulating panel talks, and an inspiring fashion show. The event honored Black voices, talent, and creative excellence, immersing all attendees in a captivating celebration.
